Since 1994, Intercon Marine has supplied marine rigging, ship repair and maintenance services to the Royal Canadian Navy, Canadian Coast Guard and commercial fleets. We are 100% Canadian owned and operated, based in the Public Works and Government Services Esquimalt Graving Dock in Greater Victoria on Vancouver Island.

Colin Spivey
Operations Manager

With nearly 25 years of experience in ship repair, Colin has grown with Intercon from his start as a labourer to his current role as Operations Manager. For over a decade he has successfully led the MWAV contract, providing in-service support to Royal Canadian naval vessels and ensuring operational readiness for the fleet. Known for his problem-solving ability, adaptability and critical thinking, Colin leads a cohesive crew of millwrights, welders and labourers who take pride in delivering quality workmanship on schedule and helping clients solve tricky problems on tight timelines.

Chris Young
Project Manager

Chris brings over nine years of experience in the ship repair industry and a strong technical and leadership background to every project he manages. Known for precision, adaptability and a commitment to getting the job done right, he draws on 13 years of prior service in the Canadian Armed Forces, where he honed his discipline, problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure. Chris takes pride in leading teams with integrity and maintaining high standards of safety and quality on every job.
