Richard Kutcher
P.Eng, Engineering Manager

Richard Kutcher has extensive experience as a marine systems engineer, participating in and leading teams on key projects for the Canadian Navy and the British Columbia Ferries Corporation. Richard trained as a marine systems engineering officer onboard various ships and at the Royal Naval Engineering College before launching his career as a marine systems engineer with the Canadian Navy. From there, Richard's career took him to Saint John, New Brunswick where he carried out detailed design of compressed air, fresh water and sewage collection and treatment systems in the design of the Canadian Navy frigates. Richard then moved to Marine Systems Engineering Inc. in Ottawa to lead a team on a mid-life update of Canadian Navy destroyers. At Lansdowne Engineering, Richard was responsible for the preliminary design of marine systems on a proposal to build minesweepers for the Canadian Navy. He later worked for Integrated Ferry Constructors in North Vancouver and participated in the design of the BC Ferries 470-car Super Ferries. Following a period of industrial maintenance engineering in Victoria, B.C., including training as a marine crane inspector with SNC Lavalin, Richard joined the Intercon Marine Team in 2003 as Engineering Manager to oversee all professional engineering activities and manage projects.
